Position Overview

The HR Assistant serves as the main point of contact for the Human Resources Department, supporting a wide range of administrative and HR functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries
  • Answer and route phone calls, emails, and internal requests
  • Manage HR documentation, including status changes, check requests, and employee records
  • Support payroll-related processes such as employee updates, timesheet corrections, and wage replacements
  • Maintain inventory and distribute equipment (laptops, headsets, webcams, gate keys, etc.)
  • Handle employment verification requests
  • Perform confidential data entry and typing assignments
  • Complete general administrative tasks (mail sorting, filing, ordering supplies)
  • Assist with Wellness Committee activities, events, and meetings
  • Process union medical reimbursements and uniform distribution
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and other HR functions as needed
  • Collaborate with providers and staff; provider onboarding support may transition to a manager in the future
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong administrative background
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Strong typing and communication skills
  • Experience interacting with staff and healthcare providers
  • Proficiency in ADP, Canva, and Excel

Preferred Experience

  • Previous HR experience in a community clinic or healthcare setting
