Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience ICU – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 1900-0730, with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. Flexible scheduling options available including 4x12 schedules or Friday-Sunday blocks.

Highlights:

• 18-bed Neuroscience ICU within a Magnet-designated, Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts providing optimal patient care
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Specialized patient population including stroke, traumatic brain injury, post-neurosurgery, and spinal cord injury
• Advanced critical care skills including ICP monitoring, EVD management, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitoring
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and specialized interpretation services

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state licensure accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty
• ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ICU and IMC patient populations required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association only)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation experience required; must pass telemetry exam prior to start (80% passing score with specific criteria for lethal rhythms and heart blocks)
• Experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drains required
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Willingness to float as needed within the facility
