Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, including potential float assignments to meet facility staffing needs
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned floors
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements (Friday night and Saturday night for night shift staff) within each 4-week scheduling period
• Work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• Ability and willingness to float to various units and potentially to a sister campus location within the health system
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (may be considered in lieu of first-time traveler restriction)
• Background in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Ortho, Transplant, or Progressive Care
• Familiarity with complex patient populations including post-surgical, oncology, or trauma patients
