Location: Arizona Organization: CHS (Correctional Health Services) Shift: Night Shift 3 x 12-hour shifts/week Duration: Minimum 13 weeks

Job Summary
Correctional Health Services (CHS) is seeking qualified and dedicated Medical Assistants / Correctional Health Technicians (MA/CHT) to provide high-quality patient care within a correctional healthcare setting. The MA/CHT will work under the supervision of licensed medical or nursing personnel and perform clinical and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints
- Perform routine clinical procedures, tests, and examinations
- Administer injections, immunizations, and TB skin tests per protocol
- Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program accredited as per Arizona regulations
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role
- Strong computer and documentation skills
Required Certifications & Documents
- Certificate of completion from an accredited MA program (as per Arizona Revised Statutes A.R.S. 32-1456(D) or applicable exceptions)
- Current N95 Fit Test Certification
- Current First Aid Certification
Preferred Skills
- Experience in correctional or institutional healthcare settings
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, secure environment

- Correctional healthcare setting
- Direct patient interaction under supervision
- Night shift schedule with consistent weekly hours
