Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support in a bilingual English/Spanish medical setting. This role involves assisting healthcare providers with patient care, performing clinical tasks, and managing patient documentation. The Medical Assistant must be certified, possess at least 2 years of experience, and demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively support the medical team and patients. Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
• Manage patient records and document clinical information accurately.
• Support patient flow and coordinate appointment scheduling.
• Provide bilingual communication and support to English and Spanish-speaking patients.
• Float within the facility as needed to meet operational demands.
• Maintain compliance with clinic policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Medical Assistant certification from one of the following: AAMA, AMT, NHA, ARMA, NCCT, or NRCMA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience or 5 years with certification.
• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting (transcripts required prior to start).
• Ability to live within 75 miles of the facility (locals only).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with both adult and pediatric patient care.
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system.

Special Considerations:

• No Return to Office (RTO) within the first 4-5 weeks of assignment is prioritized.
• Maximum of 5 days with no more than 2 consecutive RTO days allowed.
• No RTO on weekends, holidays, or the day before/after holidays.
• Mandatory floating within the facility as required.

Scheduling:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Shift hours: Monday 9:30am - 6:00pm; Tuesday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
• Weekend and call requirements: None.
