Fine Dining Sous Chef

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to excellence in kitchen operations. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining an efficient kitchen environment. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, fine dining setting. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presentation. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and safety standards. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling, and kitchen management practices. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen according to health regulations. Assist in planning and executing banquet services as required. Qualifications Proven experience as a Cook or Sous Chef in a restaurant or fine dining environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling, and safety regulations. Experience with inventory control and kitchen management practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with banquet service operations is a plus. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
