Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients upon initial evaluation and continuously throughout their treatment journey, analyzing physical conditions to tailor personalized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities such as ultrasound, and neuromuscular re-education to enhance physical function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated patient care, participating in case discussions and developing strategic rehabilitation plans.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, expected outcomes, and self-management strategies to encourage compliance and enhance recovery rates.
• Engage in clinical teaching and mentorship, guiding interns, residents, and new staff in evidence-based practices and clinical protocols.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives relevant to orthopedic physical therapy under the guidance of management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with regulatory and organizational standards, ensuring that all records are timely and compliant.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility serves a diverse population of patients undergoing rehabilitation due to orthopedic conditions such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and degenerative diseases. You will play a crucial role in developing tailored rehabilitation strategies that support our patients' unique goals, from athletes aiming to return to play to seniors improving functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy license in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment and critical reasoning to analyze patient needs effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable.
• Experience with advanced treatment modalities and techniques specific to orthopedic conditions.
• Previous experience mentoring or teaching students/interns in clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits
