Work Environment

This position is situated in our modern outpatient office located in Huntington, New York. Operating Monday to Friday, you will work 40-hour shifts, allowing for an optimal work-life balance while focusing on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Serenity Orthopedic Care Solutions, your main duties will include:

• Assessing, planning, and implementing comprehensive treatment programs tailored to the individual needs of patients referred by physicians, ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Utilizing best practices to treat various patient demographics, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine populations, customizing approaches to suit each patient's condition.
• Delivering excellent customer service that fosters positive patient interactions and contributes to the overall success of treatment outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient outcomes based on the latest evidence-based practices.
• Providing effective therapeutic interventions in both clinical settings and patients' homes, ensuring continuity of care.
• Educating patients and their caregivers on health management and rehabilitative practices to promote long-lasting improvements and self-sufficiency.
• Meeting performance goals for patient utilization while contributing to the company's business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will address a diverse patient base, focusing significantly on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical procedures, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Whether working with athletes seeking to regain performance or older adults nurturing joint health, your role will focus on encouraging optimal recovery through targeted therapeutic activities and personalized motivation.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you must possess:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in New York.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on clinical experience in a similar setting.
• An active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and essential computer applications to ensure seamless documentation and communication.
• A commitment to establishing strong patient relationships and a passion for community engagement.

Preferred Experience
