Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and limitations, formulating individualized treatment plans in response to their medical conditions.
• Implementing specialized therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities, to enhance patient recovery.
• Tracking patient progress and altering treatment goals and strategies as necessary, keeping detailed documentation as per professional standards.
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Providing real-time feedback and educational resources to both patients and their caregivers, empowering them with knowledge to aid in their recovery.
• Upholding high standards of customer service, positively engaging with patients to foster trust and rapport.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a varied patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgical interventions, and sports-related injuries. Our patients may include children dealing with pediatric developmental challenges, adults recovering from surgeries such as joint replacements, and elderly patients requiring rehabilitation after falls or strokes. This diverse client base allows you to utilize a broad range of therapeutic techniques and interventions tailored to each demographic's specific needs, optimizing their health outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy as recognized by New York State.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly with orthopedic specialization.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Competence in word processing and electronic health records systems, ensuring proper documentation of patient care.
• A commitment to fostering strong relationships with patients, caregivers, and the community.

Preferred Experience

Experience in home care environments would be an asset as it enhances the quality and delivery of care provided. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
