Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/26/2026\n Duration: 26 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 26, 2026\n Length: 26 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and prior travel experience in a Level I trauma facility.Details\n \n OR Float Pool position within a 17-bed inpatient/outpatient OR and 5 procedural rooms\n Level I trauma facility serving adult patients only (no peds)\n Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary\n Patient population includes open heart, transplant, trauma, and neuro cases\n 12-hour night shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week\n Schedule may include Saturday/Sunday shifts with no guaranteed block schedule\n May float between OR units but not between facility locations\n No call requirements\n Occasional late stay shifts required, typically not exceeding one hour past scheduled end time\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (TN state or compact) required\n Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required\n Prior travel experience in a similar Level I trauma facility required\n Experience in general surgeries preferred\n Completion of full COVID vaccine series or valid exemption required by start date\n Additional Information\n \n Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties in a high-acuity Level I trauma OR\n Limited time off approved during the contract, with expectation to work 2 of 3 holidays\n No more than 5-7 days of time off can be approved during the assignment\n 26-week assignment length only, shorter durations will not be considered\n Local candidates accepted at a lower rate\n Radius rule of 75 miles applies for travel rate eligibility\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753870.
