Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a dynamic 50-bed ED located in Elmira, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive, high-quality care to a diverse patient population presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, managing an approximate patient ratio of 5:1 while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions and life support measures.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Demonstrated experience as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
• Ability to manage a patient load of approximately 5:1 in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting.
