Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, interventions, and education to promote optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and reassess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment.
• Implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and medical directives.
• Safely administer medications, intravenous therapies, and vasoactive drugs following protocols.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation systems, perform troubleshooting, and care for intubated patients.
• Perform hemodynamic assessments, including arterial blood gases and monitoring equipment setup.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members during daily rounds to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school and possess an active RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of med-surg experience, with telemetry and ICU experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required within 60 days of hire.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and ventilator management.
• Ability to perform accurate assessments and respond promptly to emergencies.
