Litigation Paralegal

Condon & Forsyth is one of the world’s most successful aviation boutique law firms. Condon & Forsyth’s Manhattan office is currently seeking an experienced litigation Paralegal to join our aviation and insurance coverage litigation group. Responsibilities Consistently meet the Firm’s standards of excellence in supporting our attorney teams. You will work closely with attorneys in handling all aspects of case management and trial preparation in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to one or more of our firm Partners throughout all stages of litigation and you will actively participate in helping the Firm provide legal services of the highest caliber to our Clients. Track, organize and manage information pertaining to multiple high-stakes matters in litigation. Research publicly-available information on business entities, witnesses and experts and keep the team apprised of rapidly-evolving developments. Manage various aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including tracking scheduling across multiple lawsuits, drafting comprehensive summaries, gathering and putting together exhibits, compiling deposition preparation and trial notebooks, and filing court documents. Organize and maintain case files, update shared case calendars and actively participate in document collection and production, deposition preparation, hearings and trials. The ability to quickly learn saliant facts, players and their roles in each case. Develop an understanding of complex issues and nuances involved in multiple cases. Utilize databases for searches and document retrieval. Conduct complex research and investigation to further deposition preparation and development of trial strategy. Proofread and assist in finalizing legal documents when needed. Compile and organize all required exhibits for submission. Experience with the DISCO document management or similar platform is a plus. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements 1+ years paralegal experience in litigation (State/Federal.) Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at once. Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management, attorneys, and support staff. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, time management and adherence to strict deadlines. Candidates must have experience filing motions and e-filing/ECF documents. Proactively file court documents. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driven with a commitment to excellence: Experience with Federal Court filings and systems such as PACER and ECF a must. The initiative to problem-solve; Proficient in Adobe, Concordance, Case NoteBook, Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Paralegal or other relevant certification and/or a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university is a plus but not required.
