The focus is on delivering high-quality math instruction within a collaborative and dynamic setting, allowing you to make a meaningful difference every day.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education (SPED) teaching license required
- Strong knowledge of math content and strategies for differentiated instruction
- Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Commitment to inclusive education and ability to thrive in a team-teaching model
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Flexibility to adapt to virtual or in-person teaching environments as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of students in a larger classroom, collaborating closely with two general education colleagues
- Provide specialized math instruction tailored to individual students’ educational plans
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate varying learning styles
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed educational records
- Work with families, staff, and support personnel to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere
- Participate in relevant team meetings and professional development opportunities
