Event Specialist (Cummins)IN, ColumbusThe Event Specialist supports the planning, coordination, and execution of internal, customer, and external events, delivering world-class service while upholding GIS – Hospitality standards. This role manages event logistics, coordinates deliverables, and assists in front-of-house operations to ensure seamless and high-quality guest experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate end-to-end event logistics, including agendas, floor plans, rentals, signage, and catering compliance.Serve as the on-site contact, overseeing room setup, teardown, basic AV support, and front-of-house hospitality services.Manage event communications, shared inboxes, schedules, inventory, and tracking documentation.Assist with customer, executive, and community visits, including tours, transportation, and off-site event support.Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to maintain operational excellence and GIS – Hospitality brand standards.Qualifications1–3 years of experience in the food, beverage, or hospitality service industry; supervisory experience preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with basic AV equipment operation and troubleshooting.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, perform physical tasks, and lift up to 30 lbs.Availability to occasionally work overtime and weekends for special events.Location & Working ConditionsBased in Indiana. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Work takes place in both indoor and outdoor environments and involves physical activity.
