Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (LBSI)
• Proven experience supporting middle school students in both co-taught and resource environments
• Ability to operate independently, demonstrating initiative and flexibility
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and differentiated instruction
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for 8th grade students in both resource and co-taught classes
• Collaborate with general education teachers to plan lessons and deliver accommodations
• Track and report on student progress toward IEP goals
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment tailored to individual needs
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and staff activities

This contract position runs from August 17, 2026 through May 28, 2027, at 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday, typically 7:20am–2:50pm, with slight adjustment on Wednesdays). A 30-minute lunch is included each day. Early onboarding allows for participation in new teacher orientation, ensuring you begin with robust support.
