Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for a variety of therapeutic and administrative tasks:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate therapeutic needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on client goals.
• Provide care coordination and consultation to other healthcare professionals within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring an integrated approach to patient care.
• Deliver individual, family, and group psychotherapeutic treatments using established methodologies tailored to clients' unique situations.
• Act as a liaison with community agencies, facilitating referrals and resources to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and updates in accordance with established Medical Records policies.
• Implement disposition planning and advocacy efforts, continuing to support clients in their journeys towards wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on adult and geriatric clients, with potential future expansion to include child and adolescent populations. You will engage with a diverse clientele, often facing various psychosocial challenges, including but not limited to relational issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Your expertise will guide them in developing coping strategies and achieving their treatment goals.

Qualifications

We are on the lookout for a self-motivated and compassionate therapist with strong interpersonal skills. Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Demonstrated understanding of various theoretical and clinical models applicable to family and marriage therapy.
• Proven ability to develop therapeutic alliances with patients and establish meaningful rapport.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical setting involving outpatient therapy.
• Familiarity with documentation practices in compliance with mental health regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of community resources that support mental health treatment and social services.
• Ability to perform mental status examinations and recognize mental health fluctuations in clients.
• Competency in advocating for clients through assertive communications with other healthcare and community professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
