Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting with scheduled office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. While the role is predominantly remote, regular participation in virtual meetings and consultations will foster team collaboration and case management. You will also have the opportunity to meet clients in our outpatient office for personalized sessions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and duration of presenting issues and mood disorders experienced by clients.
• Collaborating with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote effective coping strategies.
• Educating clients and their families about mental health, treatment options, and wellness practices to empower them in their therapeutic journey.
• Tracking client progress and consistently adjusting treatment plans to ensure alignment with therapeutic goals.
• Engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive client care.
• Staying informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorders and family therapy to enhance treatment protocols.
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation of therapy sessions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participating in case consultations, professional development workshops, and team meetings to continually refine therapy techniques.
• Advocating for clients' mental health needs while working to reduce stigma associated with mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position will allow you to engage with a diverse clientele, focusing on individuals and families navigating challenges such as divorce, relationship strain, and general emotional distress. You will play a crucial role in supporting clients during critical transitions in their lives, fostering resilience and emotional stability.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable the establishment of a safe, trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences.
• Strong organizational capabilities to manage caseloads effectively and meet administrative requirements.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who possess:

• Experience in utilizing various therapeutic modalities including structural, strategic, and systemic family therapies.
• Hands-on experience dealing with divorce and relationship counseling.
• A background in addiction counseling as it pertains to family dynamics.

Compensation and Benefits
