Work Environment\n

This role operates in a fully remote setting, combining the flexibility of telehealth with the structure of school-based services. A collaborative environment with the Clinical Director and Executive Director will be emphasized, fostering communication and teamwork while maintaining a strong therapeutic milieu that supports students’ emotional and psychological needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine individual counseling needs, integrating DSM criteria for substance abuse diagnoses and ASAM levels of care to outline specific treatments.

• Develop comprehensive client treatment plans specific to substance use disorders, detailing objectives, interventions, and expected outcomes.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that focus on recovery strategies and coping mechanisms, ensuring that treatment is tailored to the unique needs of each student.
\n
• Document all interactions, assessments, and services in clinical records, maintaining thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation according to best practices and regulatory standards.
\n
• Coordinate with schools, families, and external referral sources to provide holistic support for clients, including crisis interventions when necessary.
\n
• Manage an active caseload with ongoing treatment planning, case management updates, and utilization review to ensure quality care is consistently provided.
\n
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and develop collaborative strategies for intervention and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily work with adolescents and children within the school environment, addressing a spectrum of behavioral health issues including substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. Our approach emphasizes building strong rapport with students and engaging them, along with their families, in the recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LCSW license in New Jersey is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of DSM and ASAM criteria and experience in co-occurring counseling is essential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form trusting relationships with students and their families.

• Adept at assessing and managing crisis situations effectively.

• Organizational skills are crucial to managing client records and treatment plans accurately.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a school environment or with children and adolescents is highly desirable.

• Experience with telehealth delivery and remote client engagement is a plus.

• Familiarity with community resources and referral systems to link clients with additional support services.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position falls within the range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a robust benefits package that includes:
