Weekend requirement: 2-3 weekends per 6 weeks
On-call required: Yes

Assignment Details
Unit focus: ICU / CVU

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years RT experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Required certifications: RRT, ACLS, BLS
- Key clinical skills: adult critical care, ventilator management (including HFNC), BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care & percutaneous trach assist, bronchoscopy assist, intubation/assist, ABG interpretation, weaning from mechanical ventilation, suctioning, aerosol therapies

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients in critical care settings.
- Manage ventilator settings and patient weaning from mechanical ventilators.
- Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and tracheostomy care.
- Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and implement appropriate interventions.
- Administer aerosol therapies and maintain patient comfort during treatments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Compliance / Notes
- Max RTO: 7 days (no RTO first week; additional rules apply)
- Fit testing: Facial hair must allow proper fit testing.
- Compliance documents due by 3pm CST on the Monday before start date.
- Pre-start requirements: Labs and mandatory modules have time-sensitive completion windows.
