Full‑Time, Days/Evenings, Rotating weekends and holidays Summary Supervises within the food services department including staff, resident meal service, quality assurance, special functions and regulatory compliance while supplying all the nutritional needs of the residents on campus. Assists Executive Chef in overseeing daily food service operations. Maintain standards for the safe and sanitary operation of the department. Ensure that all local, state, federal, accreditation, certification/licensure rules and regulations are enforced in addition to all SMC Policy and Procedure. Assist with meal service and food preparation as assigned. Ensure that quality meals are served in a timely and sanitary manner. Ensure employee job routines and schedules, cleaning lists, as well as departmental policies and procedures are followed. Assist with employee orientation and training as requested. Assist in interviewing and disciplining employees under direction of Executive Chef. Qualifications Three or more years of Food Service Experience. Supervisory experience preferred. ServSafe certification within one year of employment. Basic understanding of computer skills and Microsoft Office software applications. Must possess excellent oral/written communication and people skills. Ability to prepare large quantity recipes. Ability to safely operate all types of kitchen equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
