Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. 8 weekend shifts per contract. Floating required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. 36 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Combined adult and pediatric emergency department with 28 rooms and approximately 110 visits per day
• Level 3 Trauma Center with Primary Stroke and STEMI designations
• 4:1 patient ratio with Epic EMR system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Diverse case mix treating all age groups from pediatrics through geriatrics
• Travel nursing assignment with one pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: NRP, PALS, TNCC
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Core competencies: blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, stroke care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, phlebotomy, isolation precautions, and triage
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal leadership position)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
