Accountant

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of the Corporate Controllers Department supporting revenue accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Lone Tree, CO (Preferred) / Omaha, NE (Hybrid - 4 days onsite, 1 day remote. Flexible on remote day)

Pay Range: $52

What's the Job?

• Maintain accurate financial books and records for the parent company and subsidiaries
• Prepare and record monthly and quarterly journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation
• Support annual audits and regulatory reporting requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of related accounting experience, preferably in a large corporate environment
• Experience with broker-dealer balance sheet and revenue accounting preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA is a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and enterprise reporting systems such as PeopleSoft
