Key Responsibilities\n

• Serve as a proactive point of contact for families, ensuring open communication and support throughout their treatment journey.
\n
• Facilitate and conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing the Newport Healthcare clinical model and the Attachment-Based Family Therapy approach.
\n
• Lead Family Orientations and Welcome Presentations to welcome new clients and their families into our therapeutic community.
\n
• Complete all necessary documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in a timely manner in accordance with established standards.
\n
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems to accurately document and manage client data.
\n
• Attend and actively participate in weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to ensure continuity of care and ongoing professional development.
\n
• Represent Advent Health Counseling Center at trainings and conferences as needed, enhancing your professional network and showcasing the organization’s commitment to high-quality care.

• Efficiently manage your schedule to meet both organizational goals and client needs, adapting to changes as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adolescents and young adults facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, and emotional disturbances. You will utilize a supportive, empathetic approach to build genuine connections with clients, empowering them to develop resilience and effective coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution, or enrollment in a Doctorate program.

• Current board registration (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate licensure in California.
\n
• A strong foundational knowledge and experience in individual, group, or family therapy focusing on adolescent and young adult populations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed care.

• Previous experience in outpatient settings or with a behavioral health organization.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
