Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to enhance client coping mechanisms.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, effective treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Regularly monitor client progress, documenting any changes and adjusting treatment plans to optimize effectiveness.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to provide integrated care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.

• Remain informed about emerging research in mood disorders to continually enhance treatment strategies.

• Maintain thorough, confidential case records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working actively to reduce stigma and improve access to necessary services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse array of clients dealing with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also provide support to vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and victims of domestic violence. Your role will be pivotal in not just providing therapeutic support but also in enabling these individuals to rebuild their lives through tailored mental health services.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license in Texas as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

Compensation and Benefits\n
