Position Title: Coordinator, Human Resources

Reporting To: SVP, Global Human Resources

SUMMARY 

This role is true support for HR team at alexanderwang, inclusive of the SVP, Global Human Resources, the Manager, People & Talent Operations, and Sr Manager, Payroll & Benefits. This role will be responsible for the foundational work that keeps HR running day to day, including support for our network of stores and our international offices. Confidentiality and discretion are paramount as the role will have access to sensitive employee information. The first year is dedicated to learning our business fundamentals, and supporting the team well with real room to grow further into HR.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Administrative & Executive Support

• Manage the calendar for the SVP, Global Human Resources, and coordinate conference room setup and day-to-day office logistics.
• Greet employees and visitors, handle general administrative tasks as needed, and support HR presentation development, including year-end recaps and data summaries.

Recruitment & Onboarding Support

• Schedule candidates, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and conduct reference checks.
• Prepare logistics letters and handle employee verification and new hire paperwork — including I-9 verification, ID cards, and workstation setup in partnership with IT on equipment needs.

Retail & Store Support

• Serve as a support point for our network of stores on HR needs, and make periodic store visits to build real fluency in how our stores run.

Communications & Engagement

• Send corporate communications after SVP approval, produce the HR newsletter, support employee training agendas, and support execution of employee engagement and special events, including guest speaker panels and community-building initiatives.

Policy, Compliance & Safety

• Serve as employees' first point of contact for policy and procedure questions, and support adherence to safety protocols across our offices and stores.

Systems, Records & Analytics

• Partner with the Manager, People & Talent Operations on keeping org charts current, and maintain ADP employee data and HR files, including retention of personnel records, I-9s, training documentation, and the immigration case tracker.
• Field routine employee benefits questions and support the Sr Manager, Payroll & Benefits with administrative needs during open enrollment; partner with Legal on statutory or required learning, and with our international HR contacts on cross-border HR coordination.

Internship & General Support

• Follow up on internship program logistics and payroll, pitch in on Facilities needs, support employee equipment and supply orders, and look for ways to streamline HR administrative processes — including where AI can help the team work smarter.

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $75,000 to $80,000 which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.

Requirements

• 1+ year of HR experience required; working knowledge of retail and fashion a plus.
• Works with a sense of urgency — dependable, timely, and comfortable interfacing with senior leadership at any given time, with high EQ and professional maturity.
• Absolute discretion with confidential information — employee relations, immigration, and compensation data — and willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of the role.
• Excellent organizational skills and comfort managing multiple senior leaders' calendars and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort leveraging AI day to day, with genuine interest in helping the team find smarter ways to work; willingness to learn ADP Workforce Now, Workable, and LinkedIn Learning.
• Strong writing skills, and comfort traveling periodically to store locations.
