Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Description

Job Summary:
The IMC/PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a specialized unit, ensuring patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols. This role involves working primarily night shifts and adhering to scheduling policies and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient interactions and clinical data accurately within electronic health records.
• Adhere to compliance protocols, including completing required onboarding and training modules promptly.
• Manage patient needs during assigned shifts, especially during holiday periods per policy.
• Maintain flexibility to float within scope of practice across relevant units as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Georgia or a Compact state.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit.
• Demonstrated ability to work night shift in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong knowledge of patient monitoring and critical care procedures.
• Proven compliance with onboarding and orientation requirements.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
