Job Title

Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (Nights, 36 hrs/week, Every Other Weekend)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on a 37-bed medical telemetry unit for patients admitted from the ED, transferred from other units, or directly admitted by a physician
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and HeparinCare for patients with primary diagnoses including CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, Pneumonia, and cardiac co-morbidities
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Provide post-procedure nursing care for NSTEMI, post-pacemaker, and post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Float to applicable units as needed and document all care using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Telemetry Certification
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a single clinical setting
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS Certification (optional but preferred)
• Nursing care experience for post-cardiac catheterization and post-pacemaker patients
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
