Host/Hostess, Beeches Manor

Job Title

Position Description: Greet guests as they enter, seat guests in a reasonable time and order, engage with guests to ensure they have a good experience, taking to-go orders and answering phones.

Performance Responsibilities and Standards

• Greeting guests as they enter and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
• Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so servers receive a similar and fair number of customers.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with their dining experience.
• Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
• Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions.
• Learning the menu and what each meal includes.
• Helping out with other positions if needed.
• Providing great customer service.
• Bussing tables to keep the flow of service running smoothly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to learn and use point-of-sale systems with basic computer skills.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety.
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Responsible and trustworthy.
• Flexible availability.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in a standing position for long periods.
• Able to reach and bend and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
• Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III Employee who rarely has contact with blood and body fluids.
