Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients seeking help for substance use disorders to identify their individual treatment needs and personal goals.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions that foster therapeutic alliances and encourage self-discovery and recovery.

• Lead group therapy sessions that provide mutual support, encourage shared experiences, and promote community among participants.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure integrated treatment plans and coordinated care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in emergency situations related to substance-related issues.

• Educate patients and their families on the nature of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential case documentation that adheres to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to discuss patient progress and share best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy focused on addiction recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
