What The Role Entails

CloudHQ is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Development Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will provide support for the Accounting team in the day-to-day operations and development of several large-scale data centers. The successful contender, for this hybrid opportunity, will be detail oriented and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Get to Do

1. Preparation of journal entries
2. Reconciliation and review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
3. Completion of monthly bank reconciliations
4. Monitoring of credit card charges, payment discrepancies, refunds, returns and other charges
5. Perform general ledger account variance analyses and reconciliations
6. Assist Senior Accountants in preparing month end close, monthly job cost reports and other required reports
7. Assist in financial statement preparation
8. Assist with year-end audit
9. Maintain accounting documents and records
10. Assist with other accounting projects as needed

What You Bring to The Role

1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
2. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a professional business environment
3. Detail oriented with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
4. Task oriented, results driven, and capable of multi-tasking
5. Experience meeting deadlines timely on a consistent basis
6. Self-motivated, unquestionable work
7. Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills
8. Ability to work overtime as required
9. Actively solicits feedback to ensure all responsibilities, activities and deliverables meet expectations
10. Ability and willingness to respond to emails and phone calls after hours in the event of an emergency
11. Expertise in Microsoft office suite applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook)

Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess

1. Public accounting and/or real estate industry experience highly preferred
2. Experience with Yardi or equivalent software highly preferred
3. CPA
