NOW HIRING: Long-Term Care Medicaid Billing Specialist | HYBRID

Location: Harrisburg, PA (onsite 2 days per week)
Pay: $20 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm; no weekends or holidays

A-Line Staffing is hiring a Long-Term Care Medicaid Billing Specialist to support financial and billing reviews of skilled nursing facilities. This opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on nursing home Medicaid billing experience who is comfortable reviewing accounts, researching payment discrepancies, and communicating with facility staff.

This is a hybrid position requiring two days onsite each week , with the remaining days remote. Candidates must live within approximately one hour of Harrisburg, PA, and be available to meet the onsite requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

• Review nursing facility billing and financial records for compliance with Medical Assistance (Medicaid) requirements.
• Analyze accounts receivable to identify Medicaid overpayments and coordinate recovery efforts.
• Compare resident census, eligibility, and payer information with facility records to identify discrepancies.
• Review resident personal funds and trust accounts for appropriate expenditures and financial controls.
• Process claim adjustments and monitor their status through completion.
• Provide guidance to nursing facility staff on billing requirements, documentation, and applicable procedures.
• Prepare review documentation, summarize findings, and maintain reports tracking payment recoveries.
• Participate in meetings with facility staff to explain the review process and discuss findings.
• Identify recurring billing issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate teams.
• Maintain accurate databases and respond to provider questions by phone and email.
• Participate in appeal hearings as needed to explain and support financial review findings.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Medicaid billing experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, or long-term care setting is required.
• Working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to research and reconcile financial discrepancies.
• Ability to organize documentation, manage deadlines, and explain billing requirements to facility staff.
• Must live within approximately one hour of Harrisburg, PA, and work onsite two to three days per week.
