Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) - Manhattan, NY

Primary Responsibilities: Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory. Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion direction. Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory. Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive and market reimbursement. Determine, implement, and monitor optimal allocation of resources (budgets, time) in territory. Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences. Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels. Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed. Manage travel and promotional budget. Complete monitoring and reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems. Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities. Additional ad-hoc projects as needed. Education & Experience Requirements: BS or BA with GPA > 3.0. Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may be considered for “Associate” otherwise). Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred. Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred. Reimbursement experience preferred. Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in assigned territory preferred. Valid driver’s license; clean driving history. Ability to navigate complex markets; strong organization/work ethic. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to roadblocks. Computer proficient; customer-focused; “hunter” mentality. Ability to travel (including overnights) and work occasional outside-hours meetings. Must reside within territory geography; may require lifting/moving up to 15 lbs.
