Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant New York City | Hybrid We're partnering with several leading investment managers, private equity firms, hedge funds, credit funds, venture capital firms, and fund administrators seeking talented Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants to join growing finance teams. Whether you're looking to move from public accounting into the buy side, transition from fund administration, or continue growing within alternative investments, we'd love to connect. We work with firms ranging from entrepreneurial investment managers to some of the most respected names in private markets. Responsibilities Prepare monthly and quarterly NAV packages Record investment activity, journal entries, accruals, and allocations Prepare capital calls and distribution calculations Maintain partner capital accounts Assist with waterfall calculations and carried interest Prepare investor reporting and capital account statements Review financial statements prepared under U.S. GAAP Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, tax providers, and internal investment teams Support quarterly and annual audits Review management fees and fund expenses Assist with ASC 820 valuation support Reconcile cash, investments, and portfolio activity Participate in new fund launches and process improvement initiatives Industries/Experience Private Equity Hedge Funds Private Credit Venture Capital Fund of Funds Infrastructure Funds Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2–7 years of relevant experience Experience in fund accounting, fund administration, public accounting, or investment management Strong understanding of alternative investment fund structures CPA is a plus but not required Excellent communication and organizational skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlas Search
