Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and needs, establishing individualized treatment plans tailored to support their recovery from injury, surgery, or chronic illness.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and mobility training to alleviate pain and enhance functional performance.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies to ensure therapeutic goals are being met, and provide documentation to maintain detailed patient records.
• Teach patients, caregivers, and family members about rehabilitation processes and the use of assistive devices, enhancing their understanding and engagement in their recovery.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, share insights, and contribute to care plans.
• Stay current in the field by attending professional development workshops, reviewing industry publications, and being an active member of relevant professional associations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Physical Therapist at Westminster Care, you will interact with a varied clientele, including children, adults, and elderly patients with diverse diagnoses. Our clients may be recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, or chronic pain issues. Your role is critical in creating a positive impact on their recovery journeys, tailoring interventions that improve mobility, function, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) strongly preferred.
• A valid State License to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other healthcare technology.
• A friendly demeanor with the ability to adapt to various patient needs and environments.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is required.
