Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial data.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Coordinate external audits and assist with tax preparation and compliance activities.
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management efforts.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business objectives and financial reporting needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting\/ERP systems.
