Position Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of commercial landscaping and property maintenance accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, crew productivity, safety compliance, and profitability. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinates field operations, manages account-related documentation and reporting, and supports the successful execution of maintenance, irrigation, and enhancement services.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide timely updates regarding service schedules, project status, and property conditions.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests.
• Conduct routine site visits and inspections to ensure service quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and distribute service reports, irrigation reports, pest control reports, and proposals as required.

Account & Proposal Management

• Develop and submit customer proposals within established timelines.
• Coordinate proposal approvals and ensure all estimates meet company pricing guidelines.
• Obtain and review subcontractor pricing when necessary.
• Identify enhancement opportunities and support business growth within assigned accounts.

Operations Coordination

• Plan and coordinate daily work routes, schedules, and property service requirements.
• Ensure crews receive complete job information, site maps, service details, and work expectations.
• Monitor job completion, quality standards, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate enhancement projects, materials, deliveries, and project documentation.
• Maintain organized account files, site maps, service records, and operational documentation.

Irrigation & Enhancement Support

• Coordinate irrigation inspections, reports, repairs, and customer communication.
• Manage enhancement project planning and support crews with job-specific information and resources.
• Ensure project documentation is completed and submitted accurately and timely.

Team Leadership & Communication

• Work closely with field supervisors, foremen, and operational leadership to ensure service excellence.
• Facilitate effective communication regarding schedule changes, staffing needs, and operational concerns.
• Participate in and support safety meetings, crew meetings, and operational planning sessions.
• Lead by example while promoting professional conduct and accountability throughout the team.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate labor, overtime, timekeeping, and productivity records.
• Complete required personnel documentation, attendance records, and operational reports.
• Submit required reports, incentive documentation, inventory records, and other administrative paperwork on time.
• Ensure purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and expense documentation are processed according to company procedures.

Safety & Compliance

• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in required safety meetings and training programs.
• Ensure employees utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
• Verify vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools are properly maintained and inspected.
• Monitor compliance with company driving, equipment operation, and safety standards.
• Report and document safety incidents, violations, and corrective actions as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in account management, landscaping operations, property management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects, priorities, and field operations simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software applications.
• Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and administrative responsibilities accurately.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
