Location: Lewiston, ID | Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Starting Pay: $30/hr (higher DOE for deep diagnostic capability)
A day in this roleYou open a work order for a diesel with communication faults, confirm the concern, and begin with data and a plan—no guesswork. Live data trends lead you to a network issue, so you scope the CAN lines, validate the signal, and pinpoint the fault. Before lunch, you program a replacement module using OEM-level platforms, document your findings, and collaborate with the service staff to align the repair plan. The afternoon brings a tricky drivability complaint; waveforms tell the story, and you close the day with a clear diagnosis and a satisfied team.

- Lead diagnostics on gas and diesel vehicles: electrical, drivability, and communication faults
- Use scan tools, live data, and oscilloscope waveforms to find root causes
- Perform programming, resets, coding, and calibrations (OEM + aftermarket)
- Support mechanical repairs driven by your diagnostic conclusions
- Document results clearly and collaborate with service staff
- Proven diagnostic depth —electrical, drivability, or advanced scan tool expertise
- Ability to diagnose without guesswork
- Solid mechanical foundation across major vehicle systems
- Valid driver’s license and reliable work habits
- CAN bus diagnostics
