Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mood disorder symptoms, focusing on intensity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment planning.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each client's unique challenges, goals, and preferences, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate and support clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment processes, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their healing journey.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses the full spectrum of our clients' needs.

• Remain informed about current research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continually refine and enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients, addressing issues such as mental health stigma and ensuring their needs are prioritized in treatment planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with clients dealing with various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your compassion and expertise will support individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who may have faced homelessness, refugee status, or domestic abuse, creating a safe and trusting therapeutic environment for healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• Active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, providing you with a solid foundation in therapeutic practice.
