Job Description

An established manufacturing company is seeking a Production Planning Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to the Production Planner and daily production operations. This position will maintain accurate planning, inventory, and production information while coordinating with multiple departments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets, and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Enter, review, update, and maintain production, planning, and inventory-related information
• Perform weight, measurement, and length conversions accurately to support production planning activities
• Organize spreadsheets, records, and planning documentation using Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Coordinate information between Planning, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, and other departments
• Prioritize multiple clerical and administrative tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Basic to intermediate math skills, including accurate weight conversions to kilograms and measurement and length conversions
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, sorting, filtering, formatting, and working with spreadsheets
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate information across multiple departments
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP experience preferred but not required
• Ability and willingness to learn SAP and other new systems through training

The base pay range for this position is $18.00–$21.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
