Maintenance Technician IIMaintenance Technician II Reports to: Facilities Manager Location: Deckers Brands Distribution Center in Mooresville, IndianaThe RoleThe Maintenance Technician II, under general supervision of the Facilities Lead, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, modification and repair activities in assigned maintenance operational areas which may include buildings, conveyors, electrical and performs related work as required.The job will entail preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position will be working with AC/DC controls, PLC controlled equipment, pneumatics, hydraulic and electricity and with voltages of up to 480 volts. Manage minor projects and plan maintenance work orders. Provide training to lower grade levels. In addition to the technical skills requires the ability to assign work, direct employees, review work performed and documentation on work orders.Your ImpactProvide day-to-day direction to the members of the maintenance team. Inspect work performed by others and review the documentation on work orders.Under general supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repair racking, office furniture moves, setups and other facilities related tasks. Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to include troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment. Perform minor electrical work such as running conduit and pulling wire. Follow lockout-tag out procedures and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required. Complete pass down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of the facilities.Document all work order activities including labor, parts and inventory used and closing of work orders to provide documented records of the maintenance performed.Troubleshoot and repair controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies and all other field devices associated with the conveyor system.Use system software to troubleshoot, trend and monitor conveyor equipment.Plan maintenance work orders and enter data in the computerized maintenance management system.Who You AreApproachableTeam PlayerAdaptableWe'd love to hear from people withExperience working around pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills and industrial electrical systemsMaintenance related certificate or 2 plus year maintenance experience working in industrial or manufacturing environment., 3-4 years conveyors, controls and operating systems of a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.Proficient at electrical trouble shootingPLC experience a plusRobotics experience a plusFunctional Competencies:Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics and blueprintsKnowledge of mechanical and electrical drawingsAbility to work with high and low voltage, AC and DCProven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshootingKnowledge of Automatic Identification systems (Laser Scanning Devices).Experience working effectively under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting prioritiesRegarded as a system expert in at least one area (i.e. conveyors, printers, applicators)Highly motivated, a team player and a self-starterWork as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a cooperative constructive mannerDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to positively influence othersStrong project planning and project management skillsDemonstrated ability to expedite several projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of OSHA compliance and best practices is a plusMulti-task in a fast paced work environment that has a strong customer focusExperience with fork truck and other power equipment preferredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Valid Drivers LicenseFork Lift CertificationWhat We'll Give You –Competitive Pay and BonusesFinancial Planning and WellbeingTime Away from WorkExtras, Discounts and PerksGrowth and DevelopmentHealth and Wellness$26.30 - $29.62The salary range posted reflects the estimated minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in:US - IN Mooresville Distribution CenterIndividual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
