Mortgage Recruiter

SUMMARY:

Join our team at a leading Long Island-based mortgage bank as an in-house recruiter! We're looking for a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the mortgage industry to spearhead the recruitment of loan officers and Retail/P&L branch teams.

In this role, you'll utilize your hands-on expertise in full cycle recruiting and leverage your deep understanding of the mortgage industry to attract top talent.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will coordinate activities with the CEO to recruit top originators and branch teams who self-generate their leads . In conjunction with the CEO, you will develop metrics for driving annual organizational hiring goals for loan originators and branch offices. You will be responsible for proactively sourcing potential candidates through various channels, including cold calling, internet research, utilizing professional social media networks, and leveraging personal contacts. Occasional travel may be required to maximize candidate outreach.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and maintaining our recruiter CRM candidate system to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.


• Strategically posting positions in our CRM software and other relevant platforms while actively reaching out to potential candidates.


• Conducting initial candidate interviews and coordinating the interview process with other team members.


• Providing support for new-hire onboarding procedures when needed, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.

COMPENSATION:

• $24-$26 an hour based on experience.


• Performance based bonus opportunities if criteria are met.


• Part-time, M-F, in office, 25-30 hours a week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We're seeking someone outgoing and personable, capable of gracefully navigating challenges and rejection while maintaining a positive attitude. Adaptability, efficiency, and stellar follow-up skills are key, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills.

While you'll have autonomy in your role, collaboration is vital. You'll keep colleagues updated on candidate progress while immersing yourself in our organization, understanding our originator packages, and championing our employee benefits. Developing a deep understanding of various roles within our company is crucial.

Experience with professional social media networks like LinkedIn and Facebook, as well as CRM candidate systems, is essential. Bonus points if you can create engaging video content. Minimum of 2+ years of mortgage recruiting, financial services recruiting, or sales recruiting experience.
