Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA)Overview: Aptive Resources is hiring Advanced Medical Support Assistants to provide administrative and clerical support to the Primary Care PACT team at the Dayton VA Medical Center.Location: On-Site | Dayton VA Medical Center, 4100 W. 3rd St., Dayton, OH 45417 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm | No federal holidays Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Contract Period: 8/1/2026–7/31/2027 (+ Option Year)Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Schedule, cancel, and reschedule veteran appointments across one or more clinicsVerify and update veteran demographic and insurance information at each encounterManage active/pending consults and return-to-clinic lists dailyPerform full range of receptionist and customer service dutiesCollect, scan, and update health insurance records; identify third-party insuranceAdvise veterans on beneficiary travel eligibility and reimbursementParticipate in daily team huddles and weekly PACT meetingsEnsure accurate EHR data entry and support administrative workload reportingMinimum QualificationsQualifications:2–3 years of medical administrative experience OR certification from an accredited institution in medical administrationProficient in Microsoft Office; experience with EMR/EHR systems preferredStrong oral and written communication skillsMust pass background investigation (Tier 1/Low Risk); PIV card requiredMust complete required VA mandatory training prior to startAbout AptiveArrow ARC supports Veterans Health Administration facilities and offices across the U.S. with health care staffing and program support via the 10-year Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP).
