Our organization is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to become a part of our team at a prominent university hospital.
Role DescriptionAs a PRN Physical Therapist , you will engage in the assessment and treatment of patients, adhering to the latest principles and practices in physical therapy. Key ResponsibilitiesConducts direct evaluations and re-evaluations in physical therapy, assessing both prior and current functional levels, establishing suitable goals, and making discharge recommendations in line with practice standards. Provides direct treatment, including patient and family education, treatment plan progression, and implementation of therapeutic interventions.
Utilizes appropriate documentation methods and adheres to the documentation standards set by PM&R. Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members regarding patient treatment and progress, as well as with external agencies for effective discharge planning.
Manages and prioritizes your schedule based on patient treatment demands and departmental responsibilities.
Ensures proper use and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
Keeps up with Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required by state regulations to maintain professional competency. Complies with all Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations concerning the physical environment and patient care.
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
1-2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
Current Physical Therapy license in D.C. or eligibility for licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of USD $65.00 .
