Our organization is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to become part of our team at a leading rehabilitation facility.
The Physical Therapist will deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to patients, which encompass screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation across various environments. This role also involves contributing to program planning and protocol development as needed, assisting the team in achieving set objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct evaluation services that include reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and formulating recommendations while documenting results. Clearly communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting.
Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient conditions, and the dynamic healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary. Identify and document any changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional medical/rehabilitation consultations.
Carry out effective discharge planning and follow-up care. Ensure timely and accurate documentation and billing for patient care activities, reflecting the patient's treatment journey, including initial evaluations, daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge assessments.
Demonstrate strong time management skills and meet productivity standards. Maintain an organized schedule. Show a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, creativity, and empathetic behavior in a patient-centered environment.
Engage in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement initiatives. Attend meetings and serve on committees, representing the department and facility in community outreach. Participate in marketing activities as relevant to your position. Take the initiative in pursuing continuing education for personal and organizational growth. Act as a clinical instructor for students and assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensure in the District of Columbia (DC) is mandatory before commencing the role.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of USD $65.00.
