Our organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN) to become part of our dedicated team at a leading rehabilitation hospital. This role involves delivering comprehensive speech-language pathology services, which encompass a variety of tasks such as screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, reassessment, patient reevaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation across multiple settings. The Speech-Language Pathologist will also engage in program planning and protocol development as needed, contributing to the achievement of team objectives.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct evaluations that include reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and formulating recommendations while documenting results. Clearly communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting.
- Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient conditions, and the dynamic healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary. Identify and document any changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional medical/rehabilitation consultations.
- Ensure proper discharge planning and follow-up care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing for patient care activities, reflecting the patient's treatment journey, including initial evaluations, daily notes, interim progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills and meet productivity targets. Maintain an organized schedule. Show a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathetic behaviors in a patient-centered environment.
- Proactively seek and direct continuing education opportunities for personal and organizational growth. Act as a clinical instructor for students and assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY).
- Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, the District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia, as applicable to your work location.
- Possession of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of USD $65.00 .
