Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant prepares and processes financial information, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supplemental reporting, as well as performs analytics on the financial data. In addition to the traditional accounting duties, this position requires a keen analytical mindset to help drive efficiency improvements.Essential FunctionsPerforms professional accounting functions involving the application of established accounting standards, principles, and practicesPrepare standard monthly journal entries, consistent with GAAP requirementsPrepare monthly reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts, to include analysis of accounts for accuracy and reasonableness, and timely follow up and coordination for resolution of any issuesPrepare supplemental reporting and analytics, as neededAssist in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingAssist with policy and procedure documentation and maintenanceIdentify and implement new automation/efficiency opportunities to streamline accounting functionsRequired/Preferred Education and ExperienceA degree in Accounting or Finance required5+ years of relevant accounting experience preferredExperience with Oracle is a plusKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of general accounting principles, procedures, and softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data managementIntermediate to advanced Excel proficiencyAbility to work independently, be self-directed, and self-motivatedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work with many types of confidential data with discretion and professionalismPhysical DemandsStanding - OccasionallyWalking - OccasionallySitting - FrequentlyTalking - OccasionallyHearing - OccasionallyRepetitive Motions – FrequentlyZOLL is a fast-growing company that operates in more than 140 countries around the world. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
