Fixed Assets AccountantThe Fixed Assets Accountant is responsible for the financial management of the company's global asset base. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects and fixed assets—from initial project approval and capitalization to depreciation, disposals, and retirements. As the SAP subledger subject matter expert, you will ensure that all capital expenditures are recorded accurately, in compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supported by a robust internal control environment.What You'll DoOversee the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects and fixed asset management—from project initiation and capitalization through depreciation, disposals, retirements and paymentsConduct variance analysis of actual results versus budget and forecastEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 360 – Property, Plant & Equipment) and company accounting policiesShould be detail-oriented, self-starter looking for a meaningful opportunity to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines and cross-functionally providing on-time deliverables for the Finance teamAct as the subject matter expert on the utilization of the SAP fixed asset system/subledger.Prepare and review monthly close activities including depreciation, impairment analysis, reconciliations, and rollforwardsSupport preparation of quarterly/annual financial statements, including footnote disclosuresMaintain strong SOX-compliant controls around fixed asset processes, including reconciliations, approvals, and system securityCollaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Treasury, Operations, FP&A, and External Reporting to ensure accurate treatment of capital expendituresParticipate in other miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed.What You BringMust have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years in public accounting, large organization, or publicly traded companyStrong technical knowledge and experience applying GAAPSignificant experience with PP&E and CapEx investmentsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements, work independently, and think objectivelyAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial partnersMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment, with the expectation of increasing responsibility and scope over time as proficiency in the position developsZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $87,375 and $128,150 per year. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.Base salary is just one component of ZT Systems total rewards philosophy.
