The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Walker that are seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, posting payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers for vendor payments.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to accounts payable and receivable, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for AP/AR.
- Maintain vendor and customer master files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Collaborate with purchasing and sales departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
Recommended Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Certification in Accounts Payable (e.g., CAPA) or Accounts Receivable (e.g., CARA).
