Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the needs and strengths of clients, identifying barriers to their mental health and overall well-being.

• Implement individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate healing and personal growth.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and adjust patient care plans, ensure holistic treatment delivery, and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Research, refer, and advocate for community resources, such as healthcare services, housing support, and financial aid, to empower clients and enhance their quality of life.

• Respond to crises, including mental health emergencies and situations of abuse, providing immediate interventions and referrals to appropriate services.

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, monitoring their progress and adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continued improvement and adherence to their treatment goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support clients experiencing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other behavioral challenges. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population, including veterans and families experiencing significant life changes such as illness, divorce, or unemployment. Your work will be crucial in helping them navigate their circumstances and build a foundation for recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited graduate program.

• Active California BBS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, with strong skills in psychosocial evaluations and therapeutic interventions.

• Demonstrated experience and cultural competency in working with Veterans and knowledge of veteran-specific mental health challenges.

• Expertise in therapeutic modalities related to individual, group, and family therapy, with a passion for advocating for client well-being and resource utilization.

• Experience conducting comprehensive suicide assessments, crisis intervention, and forensic social work.

• Familiarity with community resources available in Oxnard, California, to better assist clients in need.
